Story Retreat

The consistent feedback from previous groups has been, “We need to get away together earlier,” and, “We need to hear each other’s stories sooner.” So the Story Retreat (which will serve as your second meeting) is the answer.

There are three scenarios we know mentors have used for their Story Retreats . . .

Full Weekend (Friday to Sunday)
Some groups will be able to get a full weekend away . . . Friday until Sunday. This is preferred.

Overnight
Some groups can only manage an overnight . . . a Friday night/all day Saturday retreat.

Story Sunday
Some groups choose to do this in one day. In that case, we suggest a so-called Story Sunday.

One-on-One Mentee Meeting Tips

After their Story Retreat, your mentors can begin to schedule their one-on-ones. These are critical times for the mentor to dig down and get to know a little more about each woman individually. Ideally, mentors will schedule all their one-on-ones in the first three months of the group. Watch the video from Radical Mentoring Founder Regi Campbell on the right for more on why these are a must.
