In the Know, Vol. 18: Exploring the Fruit of the Spirit
This month, our Instagram journal prompts are about the fruit of the Spirit, as found in Galatians 5:22-23. You can find the first one here. We’re also wanted to share the resources below to help guide you as you reflect and study.
As you read and reflect this month, consider the following questions: As you look at the fruits of the Spirit, which come easy? Which are more difficult? Begin praying for those you find hard. Ask God to show you opportunities each day to put those into action; leaning into the difficult work now will help you resist the urge to dodge those opportunities when they arise in the future.
THE SIMPLE SECRET TO BEARING THE FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT
In this article, Kelly Minter lets us in on a secret about bearing the fruit of the Spirit in our lives. She says, “when I truly believe I’m significant to my Savior, the fruits flow more freely from within me.” We spend a lot of time thinking that we’re responsible for producing the fruit in our lives, but as Kelly beautifully explains in this post, it’s the Holy Spirit within us. As you read, reflect on how significant you are to God and how that helps you bear spiritual fruit in your life.
